I have a couple of ice cream recipes we make often but they all use eggs for a custard base. My mom is having to cut eggs out for a bit so I decided to try out an egg free vanilla ice cream base this time and it was pretty good! We used raw cows milk, separated, but this would work with store bought as well.
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1 1/2 cups cream
• 1 cup sugar
• 1-2 tablespoons vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for only a minute or two.
Pour into an ice cream maker or into a bowl for a no church ice cream.
Run the maker and then freeze the ice cream until ready to eat.
