As we prepare for spring by getting our seeds going and garden/flower beds prepared I understand more and more how God felt in Genesis when he stepped back and looked at what He had created.
The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees
bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:12
Last summer we grew rows of flowers in our garden for the first time. Walking through the rows looking at the new beautiful blooms was indescribable. The different varieties of colors, flowers and sweet fragrances made the best bouquets to bring inside. In the evenings as we stood in the yard looking at the beauty before us I couldn’t help but remember God’s word during creation. “It was Good!” Creation is Good and I’m thankful today that He lets me have a little glimpse of the same Joy He felt during creation.
